The weather information presented here is a service provided by Titanite Technology Ltd.

The data is generated from a Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus Weather Station. Detailed info and specs are available from the Davis Website. The sensors come in two packages...

1. The main bunch of sensors (Rain, temp, pressure, UV and Solar) are all mounted at the back of the house, about a metre above the house roof.
2. The anemometer is on a pole which is now mounted at the front of the house.

Both sets of sensors transmit to the receiving station. This is then plugged in to the GrownUpSAC server via a serial cable.

Data from the receiver is read by the server using Davis WeatherLink v5.8.0 software. This software generates the reports and pictures that are on the various pages.

There is no way that the placement of the sensors can be considered ideal - the Met. Office will never be phoning me up asking me for my data. It is just too built up around here - the sun sensors are in shade late in the evening, and the anemometer is shielded somewhat from Northerlies by Portsdown Hill. However I still think that the information is useful. Hopefully other folk will, too.
